Georgetown University just released a new issue of their quarterly journal Globalization, Competitiveness, and Governability (GCG Journal), which features innovative proposals to help improve the competitiveness and governability of Ibero-American companies and countries in a globalized world. The journal also aims to serve the region’s academic and scientific communities by becoming the reference publication for new ideas.

Apply to the 2026 Innovation and Leadership in Government (ILG) Program from April 13 to June 12

The Georgetown University Latin America Leadership Program (LALP) is opening the call for applications for the thirteenth edition of its Innovation and Leadership in Government Program (ILG 2026), an executive training program for government managers, public officials (from the executive, judicial, and legislative branches) at the local, state, and national levels, as well as highly experienced professionals from civil society and multilateral organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

GCL 2026: A Milestone Representing 20 Years of Leadership, Innovation, Connection, and Impact

On March 25, 2026, the twentieth cohort of the Global Competitiveness Leadership (GCL) program completed its ten-week cycle, during which participants gained new knowledge, received mentorship, and built a network of colleagues with shared interests and values. This edition reflects the program’s success in developing emerging leaders and marks the beginning of a significant year, commemorating the first 20 years of impact of the Latin America Leadership Program (LALP), a milestone celebration that will take place from November 5 to 9, 2026, in Washington, D.C.
